Vienna Public Library has been governed by a Board of Trustees since 1972. Board members are appointed for five-year terms of office; three members are appointed by the City of Vienna, one member is appointed by the Wood County Board of Education, and one member is appointed by the Wood County Commission. The five-person panel consists of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and one Member-at-Large.
Board members serve without compensation. They meet monthly (fourth Thursday at 4:00 pm) in the Library meeting room; Board meetings are open to the public.
